Do NOT clean or polish your coins in any way.
It may reduce their value by half or more.
As one of the leading coin and paper money collecting sites on the
Internet, Telesphere Numismatics is always interested in buying coin
and paper money collections. We are a strong buyer of
collectable coins
and
paper
money issued under the authority of the United States government,
including silver dollars (dated 1935 and earlier), gold, proof and mint
sets, commemoratives, National bank notes, large size paper money and
more.
Because we specialize in U.S. coins and paper money, we generally buy medals, tokens and foreign money only as part of collections consisting primarily of U.S. government issued coins and/or currency (for other types of collections, we suggest you contact someone who specializes in that material.)
Please note that we only make
purchases from sellers within the United
States.
Because the value of collectibles often varies
dramatically
with condition, we cannot make an offer before
examining coins and notes that may have significant collector value.
Please see the Coin
Collecting FAQ for a more detailed explanation.
We have been buying collectable coins and paper money over the
Internet since 1993. We don't operate a physical coin shop and
therefore rely on purchases from collectors and persons who have
inherited or been give collections to satisfy much of the demand from
our large base of customers. Not having the overhead of a physical shop
enables us to make more competitive offers, and they're nearly always
accepted. In the rare case that a seller is not satisfied with our
offer, the items are returned at our expense.
At this time we are not buying coins with value determined primarily by the precious metal they contain (gold bullion coins, "junk silver", etc.), other than American Silver Eagles. However, we will pay fair market value for any bullion coins that are part of a larger collection.
We're looking to purchase significant collections of U.S. coins and
paper money. The items you're selling should have a total value of at
least $100 (thus, we don't want a small number of Indian cents, wheat pennies,
Buffalo nickels, etc. with the exception of the few key dates in those
series). We request that you contact us before shipping anything. Send an
e-mail to contact@telecoins.com or
give us a call between 10:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Eastern Time at 303-681-2261.
We would appreciate a brief description of what you have for sale, your
estimate of the total value, where (which state) you're located, and how you
acquired the items for sale (e.g. you personally collected them, inherited
them, found them or are assisting someone else who owns them).
A meeting may be arranged, if the value of the collection warrants travel, particularly if you're in the state of Colorado. Otherwise, we'll ask you to mail the items for sale to the following address:
Telesphere

Larkspur, Colorado 80118
