Plastic Flips

Soft or vinyl flips are suitable for short term storage only (i.e. up to a few months), because they contain a plasticizer that breaks down over time into a substance that chemically reacts with most coin metals.

Archival quality flips do not contain a plastizer and therefore may be used for long term storage. For better protection, enclose each coin in a Kointain and then put it in an unplasticized flip.
