Silica Gel Dehumidifier

Moisture in the air can cause spots, corrosion or mildew on coins and paper money, particularly in humid climates.  Silica gel is a dessicant that protects your collectibles by absorbing moisture.  Electricity is not required.  When saturated, it can be reactivated by heating the container in an oven.  Available in 3 sizes, each of which has an indicator that lets you know when it's time for reactivation.

Cotton Gloves

Always handle collectable coins only by the edge, because skin oil may eventually cause spots or show up as a fingerprint.  Still, the collector may occasionally accidentally touch the obverse or reverse sides.  Cotton gloves are recommended when handling rare and valuable coins and paper money, as well uncirculated, lightly circulated and proof specimens of lesser value.
